Magazine Calendar Listings - Free

Free Calendar Listings are available to:

  • Advertisers

  • For events that are Free to Attend. Note: by donation events that specify a donation amount do not qualify for a Free Listing.

If you do not meet the above criteria your calendar listings must be purchased.


  • Word limit: 300 characters or less. 


Word limit: 150 characters or less.

Free Calendar Listings Submission Guidelines

  • Free Calendar Listings for Magazine Advertisers: If you have a display ad in the magazine (1/6 page or greater), you are allowed up to five free listings in the current Events or Ongoing calendar sections. A Community Resource Guide listing in the magazine includes two free calendar listings. These free listings cannot be included in the Plan Ahead section. Additional listings may be purchased at the standard rate. Free listing are non-transferable.
  • All calendar listings must be submitted Online. Additional paid calendar listings must be submitted separately, through the Paid Calendar Listings page.
  • There are two free Calendar sections in the magazine, Events and Ongoing. The Calendar sections are for one-time or ongoing events only. By Appointment listings and classified ads must appear in the Classified section.
  • Listings that are not repeating events may not be listed in the Ongoing events section.
  • If you run a listing in the Ongoing Calendar, it cannot be repeated in the Events Calendar or vice-versa.
  • Submission deadline: The cutoff date for any month’s issue is the 10th of the preceding month.  We appreciate and encourage people to send their listings in as soon as possible to allow time to prepare the magazine. All listings must be resubmitted each month.
  • Word Limit: 40 Words. We reserve the right to edit as needed.
  • Writing Style: Please write objectively in the third person, without using words like I, we, me, my, mine, our, us, you, your, etc.
  • Ongoing events must be verified every month that the event is still ongoing.
  • Confirmation: You will receive an automated email confirmation of receipt of your calendar submission after submitting via online calendar. If you do not receive this confirmation, you must contact to verify receipt.


How to Submit Your Listing

  • Create an account if it is your first time submitting a listing, or login to your account if you are a returning user.
  • Fill out the Submit An Event form. 
  • Keep description lengths to 25 or less words for Event Listings and and 20 words or less for Ongoing Listings. We will edit at our own discretion if over the limit. 40 words total listing, includes title, contact info, etc.
  • EDITING A LISTING: If you need to make changes to your listing, Log In to your account and click on My Events to make edits.
